1:1 coaching (Practitioner)

On the Practitioner plan you get three one-hour 1:1 coaching sessions with me to work through your live projects, safety cases or risk assessments, alongside a full day of training.

  • Yes, we recommend completing it first. My coaching builds on the NHS England training: the e-learning gives you the theoretical foundations, while my sessions focus on practical application — how to create safety cases, draft hazard logs, and embed DCB0129/0160 into real projects.

  • Unlike generic training, this is bespoke. Every session relates directly to your role, organisation, or live project. You’ll leave with actionable outputs (like draft documents, risk assessments, or a project-specific safety plan), not just theory.

  • Absolutely. Many clients use the Practitioner package for CSO readiness. I provide one-to-one guidance, a review of your draft documentation, and a mock readiness interview so you feel confident stepping into the role.

  • Yes. You can book ad-hoc project support sessions or document reviews as you need them. Some clients choose a package, then keep me on for assurance at key project milestones — ensuring their compliance work is audit-ready.

  • Under DCB0129 and DCB0160, a Clinical Safety Officer must be a suitably qualified and experienced clinician with current registration with a professional body, trained in clinical risk management. Most people start with recognised CSO training, then build experience on real hazard logs and safety cases. The CSO Lab is designed to help you bridge that gap between training and confident practice.

  • The course and monthly quizzes are designed to support your CPD. You can record the time you spend and what you’ve learnt in your own CPD log for your professional body.

  • Yes. You can cancel your CSO Lab membership at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, whether that’s a month or a year.
